The summer term has allowed us to start to get the members on the water, this is an exciting time for them, considering it has now been two years since we have been able to undertake this type of activity.
The Cubs where hosted by Northampton Canoe & Kayak Club and managed to get 15 Cubs on the water for an extra meeting in the week. You can see there website here.
The Scouts also took full advantage of the warmer weather, this time they dusted off our box trailer, filled it up with the rafting equipment and travelled over to Cransley reserviour to be joined by 3rd Desbourgh Scouts for a fun evening on the water. The highlight for one Cub was to be invested into the Scout Group whilst standing on the raft.
Finally a couple of leaders also spent their spare time fixing the 1st Kettering Canoe trailer, this has been out of action for a couple of years but with some TLC it is now ready for more adventures during later this year…..
